Change the world

Kleinskool Community Primary School is situated in the very poor, rural community of Kleinskool, serving roughly 1055 learners from grade R to 7. The school serves children from Kleinskool, as well surrounding neighbourhoods such as Saltville and Bethelsdorp. Unfortunately, there is extremely limited space to meet the recreational needs of all of their learners, and up until now, there was absolutely no colour.

Our intervention was cleaning and painting all the poles around the playground to bring a bit of colour into the school, repainting the netball court and adding painted games around the court, painting donated tyres for tyre tower and planted tyres. We also decided to Instal poles and sumps for jungle gym and balance course, build a tyre tower and plant soccer poles for 6-a-side soccer

We would like to thank each and every person and company that contributed towards this project. Without all your help we would not be able to achieve anything. Every single nail and bolt to every tyre and can of paint – we appreciate your help and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We would also like to thank the school’s caretaker and grounds man for accommodating us at all hours and the headmaster, Mr Sean Abrahams, for his patience, assistance and enthusiasm. We appreciate the long hours and after school times you made yourself and your school available to us.
